Just because you wear braces doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day treat. Here is a great Shamrock Shake you should try.
Put the following items in a blender
- ½ cup almond milk
- ½ cup water
- 1 handful fresh spinach
- 1 handful fresh mint leaves
- 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
- 2 Medjool dates
- ½ tablespoon sweetener. You can use liquid stevia, honey, or maple syrup
- 4 ice cubes
This will make a beautiful green smoothie, your friends will envy.
Corned Beef Casserole
Corn beef is a tradition on St. Patrick’s Day. Try this recipe.
You will need to precook an 8 ounce package of egg noodles. And then heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Coarsely chop up a 12-ounce can of corned beef. Add a can of cream of celery soup. Don’t dilute it. Add ¾ cup milk and half a finely chopped onion.
Put this substance in a greased 2-quart casserole pan. Add the noodles. Sprinkle the top with bread crumps. It will take about 30 minutes to bake.
Green Jell-O
For dessert, include Green Ice cream Jell-O that is easy to make the night before.
- 2 packages of jello (green)
- 1 package of knox unflavored gelatin
- 4 cups of boiling water
- 1 quart of nonfat vanilla ice cream
Directions:
- Mix together both packages of jell-o, gelatin, and boiling water to dissolve.
- Add 1 quart of vanilla ice cream; stir until dissolved.
- Pour into 9 x 13 glass dish
- Refrigerate overnight, cut and serve! The ice cream will float to the top of the jello.
