First Friday Downtown is going to be a sweet tour for both your “sweet tooth” and the sweet taste of creativity.
Come on down to the Vancouver downtown area on February 6, 2015.
Read about all the events here. But let us give you some of the ones we are looking forward to seeing.
- Vancouver’s City Hall — 415 W 6th Street. Throughout the months of January, February, and March a thirty foot long drawing titled Column of Smoke, Pillar of Ash, by the artist Grant Hottle will hang in the lobby of City Hall. The monumental drawing is so large that the artist worked on it in pieces – rolling and unrolling the scroll as he went.
- North Bank Artists Gallery — 1005 Main Street will host a fabulous show by the Battle Ground Arts Alliance for the month. The exhibit showcases the high level of skill and craftsmanship of artists in the Southwest area. There are a variety of mediums displayed in this exhibit: colorfully fabric creations, ceramic sculptures, photography, mosaic, watercolor, and oil painting.
- Vinnie’s Pizza — 1000 Main Street is pleased to host the art work of Michaela Dixon and photography by Monika Dixon as a charity fund-raiser to support research for Hypothalamus Obesity cure at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
- Most Everything Vintage: — 815 Washington Street Will feature many great local artist for one of the most romantic months of the year! Showcasing photos from our Kiggins Theatre 30’s and 80’s shoot by Totally Captivating, local milliner creations by Babette’s Hatworks, incredible HumbleBug Jewelry, hand knitted hats by Linda and sweet treats by a surprise guest.
