• Mouthguards Protect That New Smile

  • catcher-632974_640For most “orthodontic emergencies” such as a loose wire or bracket, you will be fine making an appointment with your Battle Ground or Vancouver, WA orthodontist. This repair is relatively simple and should not prolong your treatment plan too much.

However, we want to assure you that we will be available in the case of major accidents. If you have an injury we want to know.

Of course, we want also to stress prevention.  How do you prevent a mouth injury while playing contact sports?

Mouthguards! We’ve talked about these before and we’ll continue to talk about them. This obsession with mouthguards is because we think they are pretty important so with the upcoming spring sport season and summer camps, we are once again going to stress protecting your teeth and your braces.

Besides the pain of braces scraping the inside of your high schooler’s cheeks, the sort of injury received during a sports accident could prolong the amount of time he or she spends wearing braces. Not that we don’t like seeing you – we do, but we also know the sooner teens get their braces off, the happier they are!

At Columbia Orthodontics we are always at your service.  Call 360-883-3800 or come in to one of our three convenient locations.
