As much as we love seeing you, we don’t want your treatments to be delayed. That is why we want to make the following suggestions about how to keep you on schedule.
Here are some tips on how you can stay on track in regards to your treatment plan time.
- Keep your adjustment appointments. Each visit with Dr. Croft is planned to move your teeth in a specific way in a certain time frame. If at all possible, don’t miss an appointment.
- Let Dr. Croft or one of his team members know immediately if you are experiencing any problems with your braces or appliances. This includes a missing wire, rubber band or broken bracket. These problems need to reported right away rather than wait until your next visit. We can possibly find a moment which fits both our schedules to correct this issue.
- Make sure you wear your rubber bands properly. Not wearing the bands or elastics can slow down your treatment time.
- Maintain good oral hygiene. You should be flossing regularly as well as brushing at least twice a day. If you don’t brush sugars can wear away the cement on the braces. This means they will be less effective in moving your teeth. You are also more likely to develop cavities or tooth decay.
