• Braces Friendly Chocolate Recipe for National Chocolate Day

  • Hopefully you enjoyed National Chocolate Day as much as we did. This important observance is recognized annually on October 28.  While there are many specific chocolate related holidays throughout the year, National Chocolate Day celebrates all things chocolate.  As America’s favorite flavor, chocolate is well deserving of its own day of honor and celebration.

    Here is a braces friendly chocolate recipe.

    What do you get when you mix chocolate chips, vanilla, eggs, and water, together? The answer is this delicious, braces friendly Easy Chocolate Mousse.  It takes about 10 minutes to prepare and then 3 hours to refrigerate.

    1  3/4 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips

    1  1/2 boiling water

    1  tsp vanilla

    4 eggs

    Melt chocolate chips. You can use a double boiler.

    In a blender add the boiling water, vanilla, 4 eggs and melted chocolate

    Blend well.  At this point it will be totally liquid. Don’t worry.

    Pour into six 8 oz glass jars {I used the short ones with the wide mouths}

    Let cool for about 15 min before putting on lids and refrigerating for 3 hours

    Top with whipped cream and serve
