• Tips for Successful Orthodontic Treatment in Vancouver WA

  • The Success of Your Treatment Is in Your Hands
If you’ve been wearing braces for a while then by now you’ve probably been reminded just a few hundred times of the importance of using your appliances properly. It’s true that braces can cause some soreness and pain, especially when you use appliances like rubber bands and headgear. However, in order for your treatment to be successful, you have to be diligent.
Some of the most common types of appliances are elastic bands, headgear, spacers and retainers. Each one of these common appliances has a purpose in your treatment. Without the proper use of these you won’t get the desired results; or at the very least, you won’t get those results as fast as you want them.
The bottom line is if you want to get the results you desire and you want them in the shortest amount of time as possible, then you have to follow the treatment plan prescribed by Dr. Croft. That includes wearing your elastic bands and other appliances as often, and as long, as needed in order to move your jaws and teeth. In other words, your success is in your hands. So even though it may not be easy, by using your appliances right, you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble down the road.
